Development Manager, i.c. Stars
Amanda Hogan is excited to work with i.c.stars donors, mentors, sponsors, and employers as Development Manager. She previously worked with families and child care providers to facilitate child care assistance subsidies at Illinois Action for Children. There she took an interest in public policy; writing an editorial rallying support for critical legislation and traveling to Springfield to discuss child care policy initiatives. She also has worked as a freelance grant writer to generate funding for non-profits in the Chicago area.
She holds a BA degree in Philosophy and Political Science from Villanova University and recently earned a certificate in Grant Writing for Nonprofits from DePaul University. At Villanova University she coordinated voter registration and canvassing campaigns for the 2008 presidential election and served as an executive in two on campus organizations.
Amanda enjoys writing, travel, and art and holds the distinction of having founded the Villanova University Art Club. Her experiences with cultures in developing countries have given her a humbling perspective on her place in the world as well as a commitment to minimizing disparity in opportunity wherever possible.
